Catching up with caterers Katrina and Andy is always a delight!… the experience matches the food actually – authentic, honest and unique! The menu offered is rustic and organic very much a paddock to plate style, with bursts of colour offering a delicious result, let the combined flavours settle in and relax into your seat and enjoy every mouthful.
Where is your south coast business based?
Although we call Kangaroo Valley home and our kitchen is in the main street, we acknowledge we live and work on unceded Wodi Wodi land of the Dharawal language group.
Tell us about it and why people love it so much?
In 2020 we created our new space with a wonderful kitchen to create from, in the middle of town where it is easy for people to come and pickup and visit. I think people love it because the space is the kitchen. It is a working space that you walk in to that is always buzzing with activity.
Give us some examples of what makes your business unique!
We are female owned and operated. With the exception of my partner Andy all our other employees are women. We want to create food that is of the season and from food that is gathered close by. We have great relationships with our suppliers and all of our clients.
You have so many great reviews whats your secret?
We want everything we send out of our kitchen to be fresh and delicious. We think people can tell when food has been handled gently, in a way that showcases the quality and freshness of the ingredients. We appreciate any review we receive.
Why do you love being part of South Coast Experiences?
We have known Kate for years now. It is a pleasure to be part of her initiative in bringing together all of these amazing businesses in the area.
Any plans or announcements you would like to share?
We have long waited to launch our Food to Go and we are almost ready to go with that. This will mean people can order meals from our website for pickup from our kitchen to enjoy at home or in their accomodation anytime. Beautiful, healthy meals in sustainable packaging that can be re-heated, where necessary, with simple instructions.
