Two of the nicest guys you could meet, where nothing is missed or overlooked, this is the catch-cry of people that stay at one of Supercalla Private Properties stays.  It’s all in the details and from the moment you meet Bede and Rob its the hospitality and pinpoint accuracy to detail that shines.  This is what will create a return guest – the experience they have with the point of contact and these two have nailed it!… along with the luxe add ons across each stay!

Q1: Where is your south coast business based? 

Our headquarters is located at one of the properties we care for in Kangaroo Valley called Barranca. However, we currently care for properties located in Gerringong through to Jervis bay and back up to Kangaroo Valley via Berry so we have team members zipping all over the coast and Southern Highlands

Q2: Tell us about it and why people love it so much? 

Supercalla Private Properties is a niche property management company born from the success of renovating and leasing our own Jervis Bay holiday homes while we were pursuing careers in hospitality and fashion in Sydney. 

As the popularity of the first holiday accommodation investment grew, we were inspired to provide a luxury management experience to other homeowners like us. 

Our aim was to breathe fresh air into the short term accommodation industry, by offering a superb level of service that is warm, caring and thoughtful. 

…and it turned out that what we were offering was exactly what many property owners were looking for! In just over two years, Supercalla has grown to represent 20 around the NSW South Coast, with expansion plans underway.

Q3: Give us some examples of what makes your business unique?

We made a decision early on to be really selective and to only work with the properties (and owners) that possess a certain je ne sais quoi or ‘X’ factor. Given our service is fully bespoke and totally hand crafted, we have decided to cap the number of properties we care for to about 20 – 25. We have a couple of special projects under way and due for release soon so we’re nearing our quota which is a pretty exciting milestone. 

For us, it’s about all the extras we offer that make our properties truly something special, and sees guests returning time and time again. 

At a Supercalla property you can expect the kitchen to be well equipped with supplies, chefs knives to be sharp, the freezer stocked with icy poles for the kids and cocktail ice spheres at the ready for a cheeky afternoon negroni or gin and tonic. Nothing is spared and everything is geared toward a luxury, home away from home experience. 

From the Supercalla signature scent at each property, to the included welcome goodies, designer interiors and exceptional, faultless hospitality, we are laser focussed on ensuring each stay is as special and carefree as can be. Guests value and rave about our high level of attention to detail and carefully considered approach to designing a faultless experience. 

Q4: You have so many great reviews, what’s your secret? 

We work tirelessly to ensure our guests have the best and most memorable experience while staying with us. From the very beginning, one of our core values has been to always find ways to exceed expectations and to ensure we wow guests at every turn. We spend so much time looking at the detail through the lens of a guest, always asking the question, what would really annoy me and what would blow my mind! The team we have built is absolutely phenomenal, their eye for detail is insane and they care for each property as if it was their own. Preparing a home for the guests arrival is a major undertaking. After the cleaners have worked their magic, we roll out our fabulous pre-arrival team that work the property from top to bottom to ensure everything is in order and primed for the special moment when guests arrive. An arrival with us feels like a big warm hug! 

Q5: Why do you love being part of South Coast Experiences? 

We feel privileged and grateful that our properties get to share the stage with such an amazing selection of accommodation providers and experiences. SCx represents the best of the best so it’s a nice feeling to be included. 

Q6: Any plans or announcements you want to share? 

Now that the Supercalla business has settled into a productive rhythm and have surrounded ourselves with excellent, like-minded humans, we intend to ramp up what we offer to both guests and clients another notch. We are proud of our ‘always improving’ mindset so our goal now is to focus on refining our systems and processes while honing the experience even more at a property level. 

Marlu House in Jervis Bay is an example of everything we offer. Located at Myola, this property is really something special. Set on 20 private acres of pristine native Australian bushland, the extensively renovated architecturally designed home oozes calm, style and effortless elegance. Jervis Bay is only a short stroll along a sandy beach track meaning guests have access to the white sands and calm waters of Callala beach with the ability to retreat back to their private oasis. This is a place where celebrities will come to hide away from the world! 

Something really close to our hearts though is the planning of our very first Supercalla Signature property. It’s a new development which will be a culmination of everything we have learnt from our travels locally and abroad and include all the key elements we now know are fundamental in crafting an exquisite holiday home experience. We intend to take very considered steps with this project so it’s likely we will be breaking ground on this project from 2024.
