Traditional basket weaving Weaving has been used as a method to create various different tools including food tools, baskets, jewellery, fishing nets and skin cloaks. Through the process of weaving, one can learn patience and understanding and how we as human beings are woven into this world as fragile threads of earth. Traditional weaving practices hold great significance to Indigenous women, and this workshop teaches participants how to weave, the uses of each tool as well as educates them about the importance of weaving in Indigenous culture.
