This South Coast town has a vibe you will fall in love with. North of Wollongong – with the majestic Grand Pacific Drive as your escape from Sydney – Austinmer NSW is a gorgeous village between Stanwell Park and Thirroul. The beach is small with two rock pools and an array of shops just across the road. When you go back a few streets, you come across a small community of shops, cafes and restaurants that transport you to a street in Sydney's Glebe! Funky with great coffee and food, Austinmer is a real South Coast secret. Some of our favourite things to do are paragliding close by at Stanwell Tops, The Headlands Hotel is a great way to spend an afternoon, Austi Beach Cafe is casual dining and dog friendly. Get lost in the tiny shop Mala Beads and then head across the road to Moore Street General for a meal.
