Minnamurra Rainforest Centre is a great day trip from Sydney or if staying on the south coast inbetween Kiama and the Southern Highlands. Talk to friendly staff at Minnamurra Visitor Centre. They're experts on the area so will be able to give you plenty of useful information. Then it's time to wander the network of elevated walkways through the rare remnant rainforest that once reached throughout the Illawarra. Feel your senses awakening as you listen to the birds, feel the spray of the waterfalls and spot rainforest residents – perhaps the superb lyrebird, eastern water dragon or swamp wallaby.
